A sense of trepidation is setting in! In 2 weeks I will be tackling the first of the summer's marathons in Rome. The ferry is booked, break down cover is set up (!) and the Sat. Nav. is loaded. It's all go with the training and fund-raising... I'm increasing the distance now and putting in some good miles. Recent hot weather gave me a taste of things to come I expect! Fellow staff and students at school have been really supportive. All students have taken part in sponsored 'team marathons', running a mile each. Some even skipped, danced and sang their way around and everyone entered into the spirit of it! We have also held Marie Curie cake sales and we are doing a Marie Curie collection at Churchill Square shopping centre in Brighton on Sunday. Top of the shopping list is a tent (and gas stove!) which will become home for the duration of the trip. Some donations have already come in on the JustGiving page (click on the 'Donate' tab!) which I am amazed at and very grateful for!
